Grampian Foods Siam's Agriculture division is a fully integrated operation that controls the rearing of parent stock, the production of Hatching Eggs and the hatching of these eggs to produce what is known as a day old broiler chick. The day old chicks are grown to the required weight on either Company owned growing farms or on contract growing farms.15% of the total broiler production is grown on Company owned farms; 85% on Contract farms. As a result of this the Agriculture Business unit is split into two main parts; an 'own' growing part and a 'contract' farm part.

The 'own' growing section focuses on the production of Hatching Eggs from its Rearing and Laying farms and the hatching of these Eggs in one of its two broiler hatcheries. 100% of GFS's requirements are supplied from our own Rearing and Laying farms. Much of the Companies own farming operation is based in the Chonburi area, some 1 hours drive from Bangkok.
